CLEAR at THE WRECK BAR, Daytona Beach, Florida- spring break, Easter week April 1974. They said we had a good time: The band got free "Rosebuds" (a gin & vodka drink created by Ringo, the club manager) the entire gig . The local newspaper estimated that the crowd ratio that spring break was made up of 3 girls to 1 guy.

The "Halifax Hilton", mid '70s in Daytona Beach, FL. The bands who played THE WRECK BAR were allowed to stay in the spacious apartment above the Tire Store for free during their gigs at The Wreck. Good times were had by all.
Early CLEAR which included Buddy Causey, BooBoo McAffee and Dennis Clifton, along with Dave Martin in yellow cap, Allen Breland playing the Rickenbacker bass, and Frankie Gilliam. Frankie's keyboards are visible at left; Frankie is not.

DENNIS CLIFTON, far right, passed away in January, 2008 after playing all his life. FRANKIE GILLIAM was killed in an automobile accident a few years ago. He was a great friend and a hell of a keyboard player.

Ad from Firebird Lounge, Pontiac, Michigan. Firebird Lounge was the name back in 1973- the club was renamed at some point as "J.B.s Firebird Lounge" after the owner's son, Jim Bonfiglio.
