RHYTHM RANGERS
BACK
Early 1940's
Carl Campbell-bass, Kermit Campbell-guitar, Glenn Campbell-guitar, Billy Tucker-fiddle, "Squeaky" Davis-accordian
Billy Campbell- fiddle, Dick Campbell- guitar
ED. NOTE: Yea, I know, it ain't rock and roll, but it was 1940's C & W at it's finest, with four-part harmonies, yodeling, all that stuff, reminiscent of the Sons of the Pioneers. The Rangers had a penchant for wildcat whiskey and women (maybe it was rock and roll after all). They had big-box Martins and Gibsons, incorporated two bass fiddles occasionally, and played on the Grand Old Opry several times. Two of these guys are still living- brothers Dick Campbell and Billy Campbell of Arab.
