This shot was taken at the Alabama State Fairgrounds in 1973 when WARM was touring with Black Oak Arkansas and Charlie Daniels. Charlie's first single "Uneasy Rider" had just been released. At that time Charlie and his whole band were traveling in an old '62 or '63 stretch Econoline van. They were so broke that the keyboard player went barefoot because he didn't have any shoes fit to wear. The cymbals sticking up in the background of the above pic were Tommy Aldridge's of B.O.A., who was, and still is, a badass drummer.(MB)

Ray Honea (with the hollow body sound) + Wain Green & Mike Bruce (and you know Lanice Morrison is over there somewhere). This is a great live shot taken at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom in Atlanta (mid to late 70's)
The "Knights of the Parking Lot: A Summer-Long Debauchery", featuring (left to right): Mike Bruce, Ray Honea, Fat Terry Gilbert, Jimmy Little (Humbug), Cliff Payne (Humbug), Wain Green, Diamond Jim Henderson (Daze of The Weak), Terry (Chin) Lee, Don Tynsley (Dogwood), Ron Harding, Tom Fox (Dogwood), Doug Lee (Dogwood), J.D. Harris (Dogwood, standing) & Bink Dawson (Humbug). This photo was taken behind The Beach Party in Panama City Beach, Florida in 1972, where Dogwood was playing that summer. WARM was playing next door at Adler's.(MB)

Great old concert poster from Bowling Green, Kentucky- RAMATAM was actually replaced by TRAPEZE in this show
Pencil drawing of Ray Honea. This beautiful work of art was drawn by an artist from Guntersville, AL and given to Mike Bruce sometime after Ray's death. The original is 16" x 20". Ray at rehearsal, summer of '72 in Panama City Beach, FL. This shot makes you appreciate just how good the artist is who created the pencil drawing to the left.
"That was Honea. People worried the dog-shit out of him constantly, asking questions, wanting to know why he played fat hollow-bodies and Fender amps, and he was polite and accomodating to them all. He was a special cat, and still, the best fuckin' guitar player to come down the pike. And nobody could take a fat body and a Super Reverb and get that kind of tone.(MB)"
A photo of THE LIFT taken at Ray's memorial concert at Ruperts. Pictured from L to R are Mike Bruce, Matthew Broderick, a disciple of Ray's and a fine guitar player in his own right, Lanice Morrison & Mark Thompson. Danny Averell is to the right, out of frame. His keyboards are visible at front right.
A poster from Ray's memorial concert in 1989. Mark Thompson & Mike Bruce played with The Lift, Ray's last group, with Lanice Morrison, Danny Averell and a couple of different guitarists. Another memorial concert was staged in Birmingham at Norm's on Greensprings Hwy, in which Lanice, Mike, Danny, Mark & Damon Johnson played as Lift/Warm, along with Blades and other friends of Ray's. Lanice, Topper Price, Wayne Perkins & Mike were still playing when the sun came up.
An article that appeared in Feb. '73 in Atlanta. The article is about WARM playing the Electric Ballroom, but this picture was probably taken at Richard's.
Great pic of WARM live- check out the beards
Ticket stub from WARM's last show before the split, 1978
Half a ticket stub from 1977 (city unknown), featuring WARM as the headliner and Eric Quincy Tate as the opening act. Donnie McCormick, the leader, drummer and lead singer for EQT died recently.
Two misc. pics and an old poster featuring WARM at Town Hall, Guntersville, AL- lifted from the WARM MySpace site at www.myspace.com/rememberwarm
Beautiful kit that Wain Green painted for Mike in 1972. The sun on the rack tom actually appeared to get bigger when certain lights hit it. He traded them in on a new Slingerland kit, (black), and never saw them again.
These early live shots were taken in 1971 and 1972
